EVALUATION OF "WRF" (WATER AND REFRIGERANT FLOW) AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS

back to News
February 2007

WRF, from Colt, is a new type of air conditioning system, utilising heat pump technology, to provide high performance output, whilst minimising the use of environmentally harmful refrigerants - thus beating the F-Gas Regulations. WRF uses a simple neutral water pipework system to provide simultaneous heating, cooling and heat recovery, and it is also compatible with ground source heat pump technology.

Colt is holding a series of half-day CPD technical seminars throughout 2007, exploring a variety of themes relating to WRF, such as sustainability, energy efficiency, cost and safety. These will be held at its headquarters in Havant, Hampshire and will cover the following topics:

25 April - Sustainability and ground source heat pump technology
13 June - The F-Gas Regulations update
19 September - Energy Efficiency and Part L compliance
05 December - Air conditioning systems for hotels and offices

(All complete)

If you're concerned about running and installation costs, HFC's, F-Gas and leak detection, then WRF could be of great interest to you.
