The Colt Systems
COLT BRAAT 2000+ roof glazing system is a mono pitch or double pitch rooflight system with variable glazing bar centres and pitches manufactured from aluminium sections extruded to BS1474 in alloy 6060 T6. The mullions and transoms are fully drained, pressure equalised and thermally broken. The installation of this roof glazing system includes all necessary cappings and flashings to make a weathertight structure. It can be fitted with single or double glazing to the customer's specification and has been tested to CWCT standards.
COLT BRAAT Optiglass bolted system is a single or double glazed Structural Glazing system, where glass to customers specification is drilled for attachment of Optiglass stainless steel spider brackets in a variety of designs, typically made from AISI 316 soft annealed, surface roughness N8; glass-shot-blasted, electro polished stainless steel. These are then attached either to Optiglass structural glass support fins with all exposed edges chamfered and polished, or to cast-in Halfen channels (provided by others) at intermediate floor level, or supporting steelwork . Joints between glass panes are sealed with proprietary standard colour silicone sealant.
COLT OPTIGLASS CLAMP GLASS STRUCTURALLY GLAZED FACADES are constructed using a clamping arrangement where glass panels are clamped to the sub-structure with a series of connectors positioned within the silicone zone, thereby offering a saving due to obviating the need for drilling the glass, or providing stainless steel spiders. All other details are as for the Optiglass bolted glass system.
