Thermal performance of glazing bars:
Standard system (adequate for most applications): U value = 2.5 W/ m2 K
High specification system: For the most demanding applications: U value = 1.8 W/ m2 K
Note: The thermal performance of the whole system will depend on the glass specification, the size of the glass panes and the overall construction details.

21

Testing: The Braat 2000 system has been project tested in accordance with CWCT standard test methods for curtain walling and has achieved the following:
Air permeability: 0.17 m3 / hour / m2
Water tightness using static pressure of up to 600 Pa: pass
Water tightness using dynamic pressure of up to 600 Pa: pass
Wind resistance-serviceability to +/- 1900 Pa: Pass
Wind resistance-safety to +/- 2870 Pa: Pass
Note: Performance of the overall rooflight is dependent on the individual project configuration, in particular sizes of the glass panes, interfaces to the building and the presence of ventilators. Therefore each project needs to be assessed for the necessity of a specific test if the type test results cannot be used.
