The Transferium

The Transferium, Leiden, Holland

Colt-Braat has provided all the glazing for the Transferium 't Schouw at Leiden in Holland which encloses all pedestrian ways, waiting areas and parking for bicycles.

The pedestrian bridge is of particular striking design, pedestrians can walk from their cars to the train completely protected by the weather.

Clerkenwell Hotel, London

Working closely with the Main Contractor, Interior plc, Colt designed a striking rooflight system consisting of a Braat rooflight and Kameleon natural glazed smoke ventilators. The Kameleon ventilators provided both smoke and natural ventilation.

Health and Safety Executive, Liverpool

The new HSE headquarters at Bootle, near Liverpool, extends over 30,000 mē and houses approximately 1,500 staff.

Kajima Construction Europe (UK) Ltd was chosen to construct the building under a Government PFI scheme. The challenge for the designers was to design a building which would provide first class accommodation that was also large enough to house all the disparate departments under one roof.

University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield

Attractive, unobtrusive day-to-day ventilation was required for the University of Hertfordshire's new Academy block. Colt supplied 464 Coltlite Natural Glazed Ventilators with manual controls to meet the Architect's specification.

All the ventilators were installed into the preparatory glazing system via adaptor rails.
