Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Colt has provided all the structural glazing for the new wing of the Van Gogh Museum in Museum Square, Amsterdam.

The Van Gogh Museum Extension is a striking new building which has rightly attracted international attention. Designed by the Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa, it is elliptical in shape and set around a pond, and provides a restful environment for the viewing of some of the world's greatest art treasures.

There was a desire to use as much diffused natural daylight as possible. Much of the inner courtyard consists of a frameless Clampglass glazing system provided by Colt, which incorporates some 400 mē of safety glass.

Owing to the irregular shape of the building, all the glazing panels were individually designed by Colt.
