Cambourne Business Park

Cambourne Business Park, Cambridge

Designed by architect Aukett Europe, Colt worked closely with Contractor Alfred McAlpine on Building 2020 of this business park, which is part of a new complex which is situated outside Cambridge.

The site is a completely new community, comprising a modern village with school, golf course, healthcare centre, and ecumenical church centre, as well as the business park, all served by public transport systems.

Hampden Stadium

Hampden Stadium, Glasgow

Hampden, Scotland's National Stadium, has been upgraded to include some of the finest facilities in Europe.

Colt supplied and installed Universal Louvre to the South, West and East Stands and Solar C solar shading louvre to two towers and a balcony area.
Automatic smoke curtains were also supplied to a concourse area beneath the South stand through which the team buses pass.

CAA, Swanwick

The Civil Aviation Authority chose Swanwick in Hampshire as the location for its £350 million air traffic control centre. The complex was designed by the Manchester office of the architects Building Design Partnership, and completed by Bovis Construction.

BMW, Hams Hall

Colt supplied OPV Seefire ventilators to the main production areas and Warehouse area, in addition to Colt Braat and OPV Kameleon ventilators over the entrance atrium. Colt Universal Louvre was installed in the plantroom areas, and Celestia Louves into cladding panels. Smoke extract fans and ductwork was installed to the basement service trench and technical basement.

The two levels of the car park had different requirements. The top level was more exposed to view from the motorway and was required to blend in with the windows above whereas the lower level had critical ventilation levels which had to be maintained.
