Double Bank Universal Louvre
Cambourne Business Park, Cambridge
Designed by architect Aukett Europe, Colt worked closely with Contractor Alfred McAlpine on Building 2020 of this business park, which is part of a new complex which is situated outside Cambridge.
The site is a completely new community, comprising a modern village with school, golf course, healthcare centre, and ecumenical church centre, as well as the business park, all served by public transport systems.
Colt provided an efficient solar shading system, to reduce solar heat gain and prevent glare, and a defence against unfavourable weather conditions without compromising the external image of the building.
Additionally, to provide rain-defence and for aesthetic purposes, Colt supplied Universal Louvre. On each corner of the building, except on south façade, single and double bank Universal Louvre has been installed.
