Bristol Harbourside is a stunning development of contemporary apartments and penthouses, offices, shops, leisure facilities and a hotel, set around tree-lined walks, boulevards and a magnificent waterside promenade.

Building 8 consists of an Ibis Hotel and Building 11 is a multi storey car park. Colt provided various elements on each building. These included a Shadoglass glass louvre veil for solar shading and screening, Universal Louvre for the ventilation of plant rooms and as a louvre screen above shop fronts, and stainless steel mirror panel screens at roof level, in addition to mechanical car park ventilation schemes.

Since one of the main themes of Bristol Harbourside is synchronism, building 11 features identical louvres as Building 8 on the opposite side of the street.

Client: Crest Nicholson
Architect: Faulkner Browns for both projects.
M&E Consultants: Arup & Hoare Lea
Main Contractors: Kier Western (Building 8), Kier Build (Building 11)
M&E Contractor: JS Wright, Birmingham

Bristol Harbourside continues to be developed, and Colt is continuing to be involved with the installation of a smoke shaft ventilation scheme in Building 10.
