Canon Headquarters, Reigate

The headquarters of Canon UK incorporate the extensive use of glazing, daylighting, louvre and solar shading equipment manufactured and installed by Colt.

Colt constructed the building's glazed entrance facade using a structural glazing system, and installed some 1,600mē of timber and aluminium composite windows throughout the building. There is extensive use of controllable glass louvre screens as well as controllable perforated louvre provide aesthetic solar shading. Natural light into the atria is maximised through ten rooflights which have been fitted with a Colt Solar C brise soleil solar shading louvre.

The naturally ventilated 10,500mē development has been carefully designed and landscaped to blend into the natural slope of a hill.

The architects were David Richmond & Partners, and the contract was awarded to Colt by Wates Construction, the Main Constructor on this project.
