Colt INternational
Sandoz, Almere, Holland
Sandoz is the biggest supplier in the Netherlands for medicines for human applications.
Both the offices (Colt-Caloris) as well as the warehouses (packaged units) were equipped with energy efficient heat pump technology by Colt. Due to the nature of the goods as well as strict US regulations, a prime requirement was to achieve the highest possible level of constant temperature and monitoring via a BMS.
Although the warehouse is a high rack building, no variation in storage conditions was allowed. Nevertheless, both in warehouse as in the office, the building is completely based on heat pumps. The investor awarded Colt the contract on the basis that these systems would achieve high levels of comfort and individual control, which Colt was able to deliver with its Caloris System.
