Meteor MLS ventilator
General description
Meteor is a natural flap ventilator, available in a wide range of sizes, flap options and control options.
It is suited to most industrial and commercial buildings and can provide both day to day and smoke ventilation, as well as the entry of natural daylight. It can be configured to provide the highest possible performance from a natural ventilator, with high aerodynamic performance, and provides options that can provide enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation.
It is very often integrated into glazing systems in an unobtrusive way.
Meteor is manufactured to the ISO 9000 quality standard.
Construction and options
All principal components are manufactured from aluminium alloy type 6063 T6. Meteor is available in the following versions:
- thermally and non-thermally broken frames
- insulated and uninsulated flaps and bases
- standard and acoustically insulated flaps and bases.
Flaps
- Double skin aluminium with infill material
- Opaque or clear polycarbonate from 10mm twin wall through to 16mm triple wall.
Controls
- 24v dc or 230v ac electric
- Pneumatic double locking.
Dimensions
Increments from 1000mm throat width to 2500mm throat width, and the same for lengths. These maximum dimensions depend upon the selected wind load, the type of panel, the ventilator geometry and the angle of inclination.
Finishes
Meteor is available as mill finish, with a polyester powder coating to a RAL colour, or with a colour coating to match an anodised finish.
Bases and installation
The ventilator has a wide range of base types and can be installed into nearly any type of roof or wall structure, including into glazing systems.
