Colt International installed a smoke control system within the £100 million retail development at the White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds. The Centre's malls and atrium are protected by an OPV controlled smoke control system comprising of 92 Colt Meteor single flap drawbridge ventilators,146 Colt Kameleon natural ventilators and 7 retractable Colt automatic drop Smoke Curtains. These divide the centre into separate smoke reservoirs, thus limiting the lateral flow of smoke in the event of fire and preventing it from cooling and falling back to ground level where it could obscure escape routes, thus endangering life. |

Colt 's OPV control system provides total control flexibility for building designers and managers, and was successfully linked into the Centre's main BMS providing full mimic control. |
