Description

Coltlite LWN natural louvred ventilator, suitable for natural day to day ventilation and smoke control. Tested to and in compliance with EN 12101-2, and CE marked. For installation in the vertical only.

Detailed Description

Non-thermally broken extruded aluminium (46mm thick) outer frame with framed double glazed glass louvres into non-thermally broken frames.

Dimensions / size range

From 250mm to 1800mm in width, and from 200mm to 3000mm in height as one module.

Non-thermally broken, 46mm deep

Louvres

  • 24mm overall clear toughened, float or laminated double glass (4-16-4).
  • 24mm overall insulated metal skin panel infill.

Visible width of horizontal louvre frame 37mm when looking from the outside.

Dimensions / size range

150 - 350mm (depending on overall size of complete unit) with central pivot point. Blade frame to be a maximum of 37mm between glass surfaces.

Colours/ finishes options

  • Polyester powder paint to a RAL colour, standard 75 mu
  • Anodised, standard 20 mu

Fixing options

  • Fixing to curtain walling using 20 to 40mm non thermally broken glazing frame adaptor
  • Fixing to structural opening using either through frame or strap fixings.

Controls options

Frame mounted motor (hidden behind side frame profile) positioned at:

  • Top
  • Bottom

on either side frame and with a typical operation time of 15-30 seconds.

  • Optional device to reduce the speed and force of closing louvres, to reduce the risk of finger squeezing (electric versions only).

If used as a smoke ventilator, activation is either by local thermal fuse which opens the unit at a pre-selected temperature, or by responding to an external release signal.
