Description

Kameleon 5 natural flap ventilator, suitable for natural day to day ventilation and smoke control, conforming to EN 12101-2.

Dimensions/size range

  • From 458mm to 2558mm in width in 1mm increments.
  • From 458mm to 2558mm in length in 1mm increments.

Flap options

  • Large flap profile and infill panel between 8 and 58 mm thick, single, double or triple glazed
  • Small flap profile with infill panel between 20 and 28 mm thick, single, double or triple glazed

Materials

All components of the base and flap are manufactured from EN AW-6063 T6 aluminium alloy. The frames of both the base and flap are thermally broken.

  • Anodised, standard 20 mu

Fixing options

  • Fixing to curtain walling using 26 to 36mm thermally broken glazing frame adaptor
  • Fixing to structural opening using either through frame or strap fixings

  • Pneumatic (for smoke and day to day ventilation)
  • 24V DC electric (for smoke and day to day ventilation)
  • Visible or hidden

All controls are installed behind the slim profiles.

If used as a smoke ventilator, activation is either by local thermal fuse which opens the unit at a pre-selected temperature, or by responding to an external release signal.

Performance

The following performance attributes follow tests to EN 12101-2:2003 (standard for smoke and heat exhaust ventilators) and EN 14351-1:2006 (standard for windows and doors). The exact performance attribute will depend on the chosen size, controls, and flap type.
