General description

Firelight is a natural casement ventilator, available in a wide range of sizes, flap options and control options. It is particularly suited for installation into glazing systems in an unobtrusive way, and can provide both day to day and smoke ventilation. Firelight has been tested according to EN 12101-2 (2003), and is CE marked as a smoke and heat exhaust ventilator.

Firelight is manufactured to the ISO 9000 quality standard.

Construction

All principal base components are manufactured from aluminium alloy type 6063 T6. Thermally and non-thermally broken frames are available as options.

Versions

  • Double skin aluminium with infill material (max. 35mm thickness)
  • Polycarbonate
  • Single glazed clear glass unit
  • Double glazed clear glass unit

Controls

  • 24v dc or 230v ac electric: power to open and to close
  • Pneumatic: thermal override valve with double locking cylinders

The controls mechanisms are visible.

Dimensions

Widths are available in 1mm increments. The maximum dimensions are given in the specification. The maximum dimensions depend on the type of panel, the ventilator geometry and the angle of inclination.

Finishes

Firelight is available mill finish, polyester powder coated to a RAL colour, or anodised.

Installation

The ventilator is designed for installation at an angle of between 0° to 110° to the horizontal plane, into fully drained glazing systems or structural openings. (However we would recommend that there is a small angle of inclination to avoid ponding).
