Based in the London Borough of Barnet; Hendon Town Hall was first made famous in 1979 as the place where Margaret Thatcher made her first appearance and speech as Prime Minister. Now under the jurisdiction of Middlesex University, Colt were asked to provide a climate control solution to make conditions within the building more comfortable.
Colt provided and installed the Colt Coolstream to offer a more pleasant environment within the building.
Colt Coolstream Adiabatic Cooling System
Colt Coolstream is a natural cooling system which employs the principle of adiabatic evaporation. Evaporative cooling is an effective alternative to conventional air conditioning. Coolstream units consume only around only around 1kW and 50 litres of water per 10,000m³/h of supplied air, depending on the configuration chosen, and can be seen as an efficient option which can lower costs.
