Colt provided a complete heating scheme design based on an internal temperature of 18°C against an external of -4°C. Consequently, the system was designed on the basis of providing a total heat input of 343 kW to achieve these conditions. The Main Contractor for this project was Vascroft.

The Light Box is an office building for small and medium enterprises with a stylish urban feel in Chiswick, London.

Colt provided 48 manually operated Seefire ventilators for natural ventilation. The system is designed to release hot air at high level before it is allowed to drop to low level causing uncomfortable working conditions for personnel.

Rugby Cement, Kent

As a condition of the new development plant and equipment inside the 95 metre high Kiln "Pre-Heater Tower" needed to be screened from public view as a building control requirement, and at the same time also needed to have maximum ventilation. The sheer height and width of the building and the heat generated from the Kiln meant that the method of screening needed to meet both functional and aesthetic requirements but also have low maintenance needs.

The Construction Consultants Turner & Townsend required Colt to design a smoke ventilation scheme to protect a large investment in plant and specialist machinery.

The building was naturally sub-divided into three smoke zones with full height compartment walls between each zone, and the requirements for each zone were assessed individually.

Stuart Turner Ltd, Henley-on-Thames

Colt was asked to design and install a ventilation system to improve the working conditions in the new factory area. A mechanical ventilation system comprising low speed Whirlwind powered extract ventilators and attenuated Coltair units designed for localised cooling and heat recovery was installed in June 2005 complete with a control system offering three operating modes including time and temperature control. Positive feedback has been received during the system's first summer of operation.
