RAF Lossiemouth, Moray

RAF Lossiemouth is one of the largest and busiest fast-jet bases in the Royal Air Force, the main purpose of which is to provide air combat capability for expeditionary operations worldwide.

Colt supplied and installed EN Seefire natural ventilators and Smokemaster fixed smoke curtains to protect hangar 3 during the course of its upgrade to house a Typhoon Squadron once it had been transferred.

We surveyed the existing hangar and provided a calculation of the specific fire size, which was accepted by the client.

The client chose Colt largely because of their track record on MOD projects over many years.
